THE ALIEN MOVIE franchise has been a part of pop culture since the late ’70s, ever since the original 1979 Ridley Scott-directed Alien film that made Sigourney Weaver a star. Now, with Alien: Romulus, the sci-fi horror franchise is back with its seventh installment (ninth if you want to count the Alien vs. Predator movies, but we don’t want to).
The newest film follows a group of space colonizers who come face to face “with the most terrifying life-form in the universe while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station,” as the movie’s officially stated plot reads.
The film stars Cailee Spaney (Priscilla), Isabela Merced (Madame Web), Aileen Wu, Archie Reanux, and David Jonsson. Directed by Fede Álvarez, known for his work on the horror film Don’t Breathe, the movie is expected to give fans a scary ride that is literally out of this world.
